pH Plays a critical part in pool care. It is the factor around
which the rest of the pool chemistry revolves. Keep your pool’s
pH in balance in order to maximize the power of your primary chlorinator
and minimize the amount of chlorine needed to keep your pool sparkling
clean.
There are 3 important reasons to chlorinate
your pool:
Health:
To prevent the spread of infection and disease.
Safety:
Pool water must be free of cloudiness to contribute to water safety.
The bottom of the pool should be visible at all times.
Aesthetics:
Because there’s nothing like a crystal-clear pool. Sparkling
water enhances the overall beauty of your pool and the surrounding
area.
The ideal range for chlorine residual level is 1.0 – 4.0 ppm.
What is Chlorine Residual?
This is the amount of free chlorine left after your pool’s initial chlorine
demands have been met. Chlorine residual levels should be checked at least twice
a week.
Use
3”
chlorinating tablets in a chlorine floater. If your chlorine levels
are very low, boost them almost instantly with liquid chlorine.
(Always read all
warnings and recommendations for use on the chlorine container.)
